Our Story

MessySupplies wasn't created from a business plan—it started because we had a problem to solve.

We were organising a roadshow and needed a very specific special effect. After searching everywhere, we simply couldn't find a product that gave us the result we were looking for.

So we decided to make it ourselves.

After months of research, testing and experimenting with different ingredients, we finally developed exactly what we needed. The roadshow was a huge success, and one thing kept happening...

People wanted to know where they could buy the same product.

That's when the idea for MessySupplies was born.

Humble Beginnings

Our first "warehouse" was anything but glamorous.

We started with a single 20kg tub of Natrosol, a set of scales and an eBay store, carefully weighing out uncoloured Natrosol by hand and shipping it to customers around the world.

We never imagined that one tub would grow into what MessySupplies has become today.

Growing Alongside Our Customers

As demand increased, so did our product range.

What began with a single ingredient has grown into thousands of products, including gunges and slimes, instant mix products, sensory products, special effects materials, spray foam, specialised colourings and ready-mixed solutions.

Today, MessySupplies is proud to supply parents, schools, nurseries, children's entertainers, SEN settings, charities, TV productions, theatres, festivals and major events across the UK and around the world.

We're also proud to have grown from that single tub of Natrosol into a large warehouse supported by three fully stocked 20ft shipping containers - allowing us to keep thousands of products ready for dispatch.
